Job Summary

Responsible for conducting and coordinating the daily activities of the security department including but not limited to the company’s physical access control and electronic protection systems, security incident reporting and response, conducting internal company security investigations as needed and maintain liaison with security contractors and law enforcement agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct and coordinate the daily activities of the security department to protect employees and company assets. 
  • Coordinate implementation, maintenance and testing of all physical security systems.
  • Coordinate internal / external technical support for electronic protection system, CCURE card access system and video surveillance system. 
  • Conduct security vulnerability assessments to evaluate security posture and make appropriate recommendations related to the company’s physical security plan and federal and/or state compliance requirements. 
  • Conduct security investigations and perform necessary follow-up upon notification of a security incident. Make appropriate recommendations to mitigate security risks. 
  • Administer the company emergency notification system (ENS) service and serve as a primary contact with the ENS provider.
  • Assist in the development of security policies and procedures including implementation of company physical security plan and testing.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer focus with ability to understand business needs.
  • Work in a professional and highly ethical manner and provide the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate understanding of business line processes to be able to identify key security issues and stay informed about business developments/regulatory issues as they relate to future security requirements.
  • Experience in administering an emergency notification system service.
  • Knowledge of Software House CCURE 9000 access control system and ExacqVision VMS.
  • Proficient PC skills including Microsoft suite of applications.
  • Strong planning and organization skills with effectiveness in developing objectives and managing resources to achieve targets.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor degree in criminal justice, business administration or social science discipline and two years of related work experience; OR a minimum of seven years of work experience involving physical security protection, assessment, implementation, and administrative related duties.
  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Prior experience in a corporate security role preferred.
