Job Summary:


The Project Management Intern (PMI) is responsible for supporting the Capital Project Management group in its management and execution of Replacement and Betterment (R&B) and Growth capital projects. The PMI supports project managers and analysts as they work with various departments and stakeholders in areas of forecasting, cost tracking, scheduling, variance analysis, resource planning, procurement, document management, closeout processes, administrative functions, and other pertinent project areas.

 

**Employee will work remotely or hybrid due to Covid, reporting office location will be Denver or Bethlehem, PA**


Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Support project analysts in the development of cost estimates and financial forecasts.  Assist in development of Requests For Proposal (RFP), support the project bid process, and help with comparison of proposals.
  • Assist in development of project schedules and tracking of key milestones, deadlines, project changes, and other aspects affecting overall project timelines.  Liaise with Capital Construction and other groups to help coordinate communication of project progress and data reporting.
  • Assist with the closeout process for capital projects which includes documentation, as-built drawings, MTR and material data, construction job books, and other project-related material.  Liaise with internal departments and external partners to help coordinate the timely processing of project documentation and records. 
  • Help develop the Capital Project Management SharePoint website to enhance the group’s ability to store and share pertinent information.  Work with IT and other departments to help create a relevant, simple, and value-added website.
  • Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Financial/accounting acumen; ability to analyze project data, identify key information, and present findings to team members.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, etc.); ability to learn and become proficient with company-specific software/programs.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and develop trust; collaborative, team-focused, and service-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills; communicate effectively and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.


Education and Experience:

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Working toward 4-year degree in project management, analytics, accounting/finance, engineering, or computer science.
