Job Summary

Ensures that UGI projects are constructed and permits are prepared in accordance with company standards and Chp. 102 and Chp. 105 regulations through desktop analysis and permit application review and submission, as well as field inspections.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Coordination of environmental permits for project needs including the desktop evaluation of environmental permit requirements, and the review and submittal of environmental permits for UGI pipeline and electric projects completed by outside contractors.
  • Prepare and complete environmental permit applications and other documents for company wide UGI projects, which includes site visits for practicality.
  • Complete and coordinate environmental inspections of company-wide projects to ensure compliance with permit stipulations and respective regulations primarily during construction and post-construction.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings with respective regulatory agencies including pre-application, preconstruction, and agency site inspections for company-wide UGI projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of governing environmental regulations (Clean Water Act, PA Chp. 102, PA Chp 105, etc.).
  • Proficient with Auto CAD, GIS software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to select and specify E&S practices and products for given site conditions.
  • Ability to inspect and evaluate effectiveness of installed E&S BMPs and make recommendations as needed.
  • Ability to effectively communicate project goals, requirements, restrictions, permit conditions to UGI engineers, UGI operations personnel, regulators, and contractors.
  • Ability to prepare and assemble environmental permits for pipeline projects.
  • Ability to review permit applications and provide project level support and recommendations.
     

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2+ years of experience
  • CPESC, PWS, EIT, or GIT considered a plus
