Job Summary

The Communications Coordinator maintains the Communications budget, and provides general administrative support to the VP, Communications and Community Relations.      
The Communications Coordinator provides general administrative support to the Manager, Media Relations; Manager Internal Communications and Publicaitons; and to the two Writer / Editors regarding all of their functions and program areas.all program areas.   

Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Communications Coordinator prepares and publishes Company-wide communication programs including Media Digest (bi-weekly compilation sent to all employees of all media articles generated by UGI Communications activities from local, regional and national media outlets); assists in the monthly FirstLine publication to elected and appointed audiences and EarthLine, a quarterly CSR/ESG publication.  
  • The Communications Coordinator coordinates acquisition, management and distribution of UGI company image enhancement items for all Departments and work locations.  
  • The Communications Coordinator provides program support to the VP,  Communications and Community Relations on Company-wide special projects performed for the President and CEO, Parent Company President and CEO, and members of the senior staff.  
  • The Communications Coordinator performs the production, delivery and mailing of Company publications and communicaitons tools prepared and sent to key internal and external audiences.
  • The Communications Coordinator coordinates and provides directive documentation to UGI’s customer bill fulfillment house that prints and mails UGI customer bills and inserts.  Efforts include preparation of a monthly document; coordination of phone calls with vendor staff; and on-line set-up of the ‘selects’ that determine which documents will be pulled for inclusion by servcie (electric, gas or both) and customer class.  
  • The Communications Coordinator  maintains the Communications budget, and provides general administrative support to the VP, Communications and Community Relations.

  • Excellent administration skills; able to organize complex programs and work to deadline on multiple projects
  • Strong document preparations skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal and external contacts, including leaders
  • Strong budget management capabilities
  • Comfortable in providing support to multiple project managers
  • Strong collaborator who can work closely with other departments to ensure alignment of initiatives for maximum benefit to the business
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP systems
  • “Self-starter” and able to work to deadline on multiple projects
  • Organized and able to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously

Education and Experience

Education:  High school diploma or equivalent required.

BA/BS in Communications, Marketing, Social Work or related field preferred.

Experience:  At least 5 years’ experience in supporting corporate communications functions
