Job Summary

Responsible for validating and maintaining accuracy and consistency of all customer accounts (Electric and Gas) through customer contact, and the review of daily tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Billing Investigation – Investigate accuracy of customers’ bills through business process exception management (BPEM Cases) to determine necessary corrections required to remain compliant.
  • Acknowledge and resolve each situation/concern; promptly escalate complaints as needed.
  • Ability to analyze customers’ accounts independently and determine best process(es) to resolve problems.
  • Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to special projects.
  • Attend and collaboratively participate in staff meetings and training sessions. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to learn, understand and comply with Chapter 56 and Chapter 14 gas-specific industry regulations.
  • Ability to learn and understand UGI Gas/Electric tariff and Meter to Cash process.
  • Ability to learn and navigate SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and ERP Central Component (ECC) and Business Data Exceptions (BDEX) systems.
  • Detail Orientated-good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 3 years of UGI customer service experience, or related billing and/or customer experience in Utility company preferred.
