Position Summary:

The Analyst I – Major Accounts will be responsible for managing all systems related to Metretek remote metering for access to daily usage data across the Major Accounts (non-Choice transportation) customer base.  In addition, the Analyst I – Major Accounts will be responsible for analyzing and tracking new Major Accounts customer projects while coordinating the set up and back office SAP configuration of these accounts between area Relationship Managers, Major Accounts Billing Representatives, and the Device Management/M&R teams.  

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Manage database processes for the Metretek remote metering system used for Major Accounts billing including communication to Gastar and SAP. Coordinate with device management, instrumentation, telemetry/M&R, and other individuals involved with the Metretek units in resolving any issues and applying required updates, including but not limited to: updating usage, researching multiplier and device issues, and entering missing reads.
  • Manage the lifecycle of Major Accounts customer projects from initial set up of telemetry and the new contract accounts in SAP to the final bill and/or move out/liquidation of contracts. This includes monitoring contract accounts and device changes in SAP and Gastar, entering installation facts in SAP, and maintaining documentation on project status for new customer acquisitions.
  • Provide support for the end of month billing process and the monthly close activities including but not limited to: unique billing scenarios, reporting and billing validations.
  • Coordinate communications with the Instrumentation group, M&R as well as customers to maintain the integrity of the meter read data.
  • Provide support for customer and marketer usage and billing disputes by performing analytical analyses on historic gas or electric consumption and preparing supporting documentation.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAP Customer Service and BOBJ Reporting, Billing, Device, BPEM screens and Gastar Gas Management System.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Computer skills to create and manage databases applicable to the Metretek remote metering system.
  • Full understanding of UGI South, Central, and North tariffs as it relates to the complexities of major accounts billing and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Qualifications:

Education:  B.S. Business, Accounting or related discipline desired; OR Associates degree with 4 years relevant work experience OR 8 years relevant work experience.

Length of Experience:  0-3 years

Other:  Experience with Gastar, SAP ECC, BOBJ reporting, and Microsoft Excel.
Working Conditions:  office environment
