This position will respond to customer inquiries for new or additional gas service and promote the benefits of natural gas to potential customers, builders & contractors.  The position will manage the customer installation process in a manner that meets the Company’s profitability standards and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction.   

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Respond to and or initiate potential residential and commercial customer inquiries for converting to or adding additional gas service.  Design and estimate service, regulators and meters to UGI system specifications for existing and new construction residential and commercial customers.   Adhere to profitability guidelines as established by UGI under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager.  Keep all Company computer programs updated with customer data.
  • Identify, promote and sell natural service to non-customers along or nearby UGI’s distribution system.  Promote natural gas to residential and commercial developers, builders and realtors to secure new construction markets and increase overall market share.  Promote appliance saturation and commercial new technologies.  Maintain high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Determine Get Gas eligible gas main extensions and propose them for approval.  Once approved conduct public meetings and canvass all potential customer.
  • Manage the process to accomplish the installation of required gas facilities.  Complete job close outs tasks in a timely and efficient manner.  Determine the least expensive way to serve new gas customers.
  • Perform other duties as requested.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in writing and verbally.
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to utilize the Company’s computer systems, as well as, Microsoft Office.
  • Outgoing personality who enjoys meeting new people.
  • Self-motivated in pursuing the assigned goals.
  • An understanding of natural gas equipment and competitive fuels.
  • An understanding of the Company’s gas installation guidelines.



  • Two or four-year degree in business or engineering.
  • At least two years of relevant experience.


Working Conditions:

  • Typical office conditions, however, site visits to customer locations is significant amount of time.
