Job Summary
Provide coordination and oversight to restoration contractors and manage the execution of the regional restoration plan. Coordinate job site meetings with state and local municipal field-level officials to ensure the quality of work meets the satisfaction of both UGI and their standards. Assist in executing the regional restoration plan. Handles various correspondences relating to restoration and related permits. This position can be based in either Bethlehem, PA or Reading, PA.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and determine the proper limits of paving & restoration work with the appropriate officials (i.e., county, city, State) and paving contractors' supervision, to obtain agreement on planned repairs.
- Review engineered drawings and perform project paving administration. Review the scope of work and paving estimates for accuracy before project authorization. Verify quantities (actual vs. estimate) of work completed and process and approve contractor invoicing. Manage contractor work assignments and coordinate scheduling.
- Investigate and resolve concerns identified by municipalities, state agencies, and customers. Ensure all Customer Inquiries are responded to within 2 business days, advising customers of planned remedial action.
- Coordinates paving activities with city, county, and state inspectors (AOP Work). Manage the scope of work and identify cost-sharing opportunities. Meets with municipalities to collaborate on annual paving plans.
- Perform QA/QC and audits on work performed by the restoration contractor, ensuring compliance with all state and local municipality paving standards.
- Ensure proper project & permit closeout is documented and communicated to appropriate groups. Update and distribute monthly paving analysis reports.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of UGI’s environmental and safety practices, and a working knowledge of paving operations including asphalt, concrete and landscaping, standards, and materials.
- Working knowledge of City, County, and State paving and safety specifications for the region.
- Excellent Interpersonal and written communication skills, ability to recognize problems and resolve customer concerns.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, contract, assign, manage and inspect paving work.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., operations or construction management) preferred; Associate degree and at least 2 years related work experience; or at least 4 years of related work experience in place of degree.
- 2+ years’ experience in gas operations, contractor management, and/or paving operations.
- Certifications: NECEPT, PMP, PMI-CP
- Driver’s License
