The Field Systems Support Spec II is to:

  • Provide administration, support, and training for field hardware (computers) and software. 
  • Troubleshoot hardware and system software for the following field applications (Mapframe, CAD, Airwatch, etc.) and the field computer hardware. 
  • Work directly with IS personnel to identify, report and diagnose problems, provide end user training where applicable.
  • Be the primary liaison between area operations and IS for all technical issues.
  • Provide support for office personnel to facilitate the use of the following applications: PA1-Call (SIAS), DOJM, RARS, SREC/Service Web App, Documentation, Design Manager, and other operations systems. 
  • Assist IS and the Helpdesk with troubleshooting for office hardware such as printers, copiers, etc.
  • Provide guidance and support for the data cleanup efforts, including delegation of the task within the OSS clerical group and field personnel (as needed), running all requested reports for sections and verifying system data, tracking and reporting progress, identifying other data-related problems.
  • Assist in the testing and deployment of various applications that are deployed. This includes new applications as well as system enhancements and upgrades to current applications.
  • Manage and assist with various projects throughout the year.
