HVAC Supervisor

Supervise the HVAC technicians and helpers in providing appliance installation, repair, maintenance, service contract services and new construction support to customers while focusing on revenue generation and net profit goals.



Supervise HVAC employees in field repair and/or installation and new construction business segment to meet customer workload demands and business goals.

  • Communicate job expectations
  • Perform evaluations/audits
  • Support field employees with – parts, supplies, inventory, answer questions
  • Provide leadership to employees
  • Provide necessary tools and other resources for employees so they can succeed
  • Address performance problems, provide employee recognition, discipline, and encouragement. For new construction, stay closely connected to all Foremen to identify recognition and discipline needs.
  • Align new construction and installation crews for resource sharing and to better meet all customer demands.
  • Focus on resource and manpower sharing across company.
  • Evaluate overtime and work towards reducing
  • Evaluate workload and productivity
  • Review timesheets and tickets for accuracy and proper documentation
  • Review sick time, vacation scheduling, winter/summer work
  • Evaluate and monitor shop time, travel and delays
  • Understanding of general ledger (costs, parts, material)
  • Communicating budget to employees
  • Perform safety inspections on jobs
  • Managing by being actively involved in day to day operations
  • Hiring, Performance Reviews
  • Follow up with incomplete jobs timely


Generate revenue opportunities for the HVAC team focusing on the area net profit goal.

  • Ability to solicit new work and manage large projects
  • Follow-up on jobbing requests
  • Market, solicit and establish relations with others for jobbing and install work
  • Ability to close heating and A/C bids-commercial work
  • Be a technical resource for sale team
  • Solicit apartment complex for full package approach; sell, maintain and service contract
  • Tagging appliance follow-up
