Job Summary

SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE – CORPORATE OFFICE (CHARLESTON, WV)

We are currently recruiting in our Corporate Office, Charleston, West Virginia, for a Safety Representative. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:  

  • Assists the Safety, Health and Training team with advancing and maintaining safety and training programs to comply with rules and regulations set forth by the company, OSHA, DOT and/or other state and federal entities.  
  • Assists with updating and developing safety programs and procedures including the development of training modules to meet compliance requirements. 
  • Performs or assists in the following activities:  industrial hygiene, recordkeeping, safety audits, accident investigations, and safety training sessions. 

 

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and workers’ compensation regulations.  
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Occupational Health or related degree required.  A combination of equivalent experience and education may be considered. 
  • Proficiency with various computer applications.


Preferences:

  • Natural gas industry, utility experience, and/or certified safety professional preferred.
