Job Summary (Purpose):


Responsible for interfacing, supporting and influencing both the tactical and strategic decision making across the various field and centralized management of the Service Operations or Automated Route Planning (ARP) business function within CES in Charlotte and Cleveland. Partner with CES Service operations or ARP users in the field to lead and coordinate project plans; identify and address opportunities; develop and deploy best-practices; that enhances performance across the business to drive both efficiency and an improved customer experience.    


Key Characteristics:


  • Experience in route management and operations analysis.  
  • Effective in communicating operating issues and ARP or Service solutions to users and all levels of management.
  • Highly responsive and motivated.  Strong understanding of operations and ability to identify down-stream impacts of strategic decisions. 
  • Analytical with a bias towards action: Ability to analyze data trends to identify root causes, communicate to key stakeholders, and implement best practices to improve productivity or service.  



Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Partners with Service Operations or ARP Project Team, IT, Service or Delivery Coordinator teams and management to Identify and implement cost reduction and business efficiency opportunities.   
  • Leverage existing technology/tools, foster partnerships and create new data models in order to deliver proactive, timely and insightful analysis and proposals.  
  • Train and educate business leaders on best practices for Service or ARP
  • Partner with IT (BI) to develop KPI metrics, analyze, and deliver improvements in Service or Delivery Coordinator effectiveness.
  • Efficiently create concise and effective presentations for CES and Field Leadership.  
  • Deploy supply chain or service solutions to improve or rectify key metrics for the automated route planning and execution. 
  • Identify, measure, and report on operating expense savings attributed to solutions savings.
  • Create and communicate regular status updates. 
  • Build, execute, analyze, and adjust various Service or ARP improvement initiatives to deliver efficiency gains and service and delivery performance.
  • Evaluate the Service Scheduler or ARP system and the Service or Delivery Coordinator use of it.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. 



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Project Management – Able to plan, organize, and contribute multiple large scale projects.  
  • Communications - Excellent in communicating information and gathering feedback from the coordinators, drivers, technicians and area field leaders in both written and verbal forms with an ability to work on many initiatives.  
  • Flexibility - Position has a large amount of analysis on a wide variety of issues resulting in a continuous flow of questions and exchange of information and follow up.
  • Technical – Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office knowledge,  advanced level MS Excel skills are required. 



Education and Experience Required:


  • BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering
  • 3-5 years of field experience preferred 
  • 1-3 years of experience with routing systems or SAP 
  • Experience with mathematical modeling techniques using computer software.
