Job Summary (Purpose):
The Capacity Planning Manager collaborates with several stakeholders in the business to understand current and future workforce needs to meet business demands. The Capacity Planning Manager will be responsible for analyzing business trends and outputs and correlating this data into a tangible workforce model that addresses talent needs against business and customer priorities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Delivers advanced analysis, technology and tools to enhance organization’s capacity planning abilities
• Utilizes data to understand current and future business demands against talent availability and needs
• Helps facilitate the daily sales and operations planning process while supporting efforts to provide longer term views of capacity needs to the organization
• Partners with cross functional teams (finance, operations, sales, human resources) to interpret data and creates one approach for addressing workforce needs
• Supports the annual budgeting process by leading the efforts around identifying annual resource needs
• Provides insights and guidance on future focused planning needs and delivers detailed workforce planning tools and solutions that meet business and customer needs
• Identifies gaps and opportunities between various work locations, positions, and departments to ensure business and customer needs are met
• Leads and evolves capacity planning process to improve planning and forecasting efficiencies that support a more predictive response to business needs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decision making
• Deep understanding of business strategy and performance, and design solutions that impact business outcomes
• Embraces challenges and effectively problem solves
• Capable of conducting complex analyses with multiple variables and managing capacity planning models
• Clearly presents data in understandable formats and tailors communication to various audiences
• Experienced in communicating model output to other functional teams including field leadership and human resources to ensure a collaborative approach in solving for capacity requirements
• Skilled in evaluating alternative financial impacts of various model sensitivities and delivering confident recommendations to senior leadership
• Excel expertise, Tableau, Qlik applications and/or other analytical tools would be preferred
Education and Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or at least 7+ years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility leading strategic workforce planning
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and present solutions in a clear and impactful manner
• Able to build effective and strong partnerships cross functionally and lead teams on key actions
Working conditions:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to hazardous or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and flammable materials. The employee will be working in both office and external work environments.
